Gibson's Broadway location makes it the only house of java whose regular clientele includes both tourists and Nashville natives. Days at the cafe are quiet and relaxing--a great time to go solo and linger over the newspaper with a cappuccino and spinach bagel. The place expresses its creativity in its boundless selection of specialty coffees, from Raspberry Truffle to Granola Bar to Milky Way--if you don't feel the caffeine, the sugar will keep you motoring for hours. Its sandwich, pizza, and dessert selection make it a great spot for a casual lunch. One bite of their Honey Chicken Pecan sandwich or their delicious Royal Turkey and Provolone sandwich and you'll be scampering back for more. In the evening and into the wee hours, Gibson's Cafe transforms into a hip venue to hear local music.--Ellen McCrary
